With the added knowledge and experience Dr. Rockwin has gained from completing EIM’s EPPPM/Doctorate Program and her Certification in Nutrition, Dr. Rockwin can now provide physical therapy and nutritional coaching at a higher level to the community of North Merrick and its surrounding towns. Jamie L. Rockwin PT, DPT, PN1 received her certification in nutrition from Precision Nutrition. Jamie’s specialty is coaching clients with inflammatory issues ranging from, but not limited to, osteoarthritis and fibromyalgia. Her “Eat to Heal” program is a great complement for her PT patients and provides preventative medicine for these who wish to maintain overall health.

Jonathan Casanova’s fitness career began with a Bachelor’s in Exercise Science from Hofstra University and a role as a personal trainer at a physical therapy clinic. He furthered his education with a Master’s from Queens College in 2020. He then furthered his career at Burke Rehab Hospital, where he spearheaded a community wellness center and also launched a virtual exercise program during the COVID-19 pandemic.

His personal weight loss journey at 19 and his mother’s health struggles sparked his passion for helping others achieve their health goals. Jonathan’s approach is rooted in scientific integrity and individualized care, using his qualifications, which include:

  • Precision Nutrition Level 1 (PN1-NC)
  • Functional Range Condition Mobility Specialist (FRCms)
  • ACSM Certified Exercise Physiologist (ACSM-EPC)
  • USA Weightlifting Strength Coach (USAW)
  • and Precision Nutrition Certified Sleep, Stress, and Recovery Coach.

Neal Gurskey

Neal Gursky, MS, CSCS, CISSN

Exercise Specialist

Neal Gursky is a Personal Trainer from Bellmore, NY. I am a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and a passionate baseball fan. He played baseball and soccer during elementary and High School. He received his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology/ Fitness Development from SUNY Cortland in 2013. He spent the next 2 years training 1 on 1s and teams at Professional Athletic Performance Center.

Neal returned to school and received his Master of Sports Science in 2017. Immediately following that, he was an intern for the Milwaukee Brewers for the 2018 season and decided to return to Professional Athletic Performance Center Fulltime to train Minor League Baseball Players, Travel Team baseball Players, and JV/Varsity players from Sacred Heart University.

Neal was an Affiliate Performance Trainer for the Cincinnati Reds for the 2022 Season where he administered Sports Science Tests (force plates, nordboard, dynamometer, and speed gates), blast motion, K-vest, creating road duties, housing arrangements, and assisting the S&C/Athletic Trainer as needed.
